Revenu Québec has announced that, starting with the 2016 tax year, the tax credit for workers aged 65 and over will be enhanced.
The effect of these changes will be :
- raise, over a two-year period, the age of eligibility for the tax credit from 65 to 63;
- gradually increase the maximum amount of eligible work income on which the tax credit is calculated to $10,000 for all workers aged 65 and over;
- make the tax credit reducible according to working income.
